CRAA 2025 Clarenville Fibre Festival
The Clarenville Fibre Festival is a three-day celebration of fibre arts, scheduled for August 22-24, 2025, at the Clarenville Events Centre. This event will unite artisans, hobbyists, and enthusiasts to explore and celebrate fibre arts, including knitting, crocheting, quilting, weaving, and more. With interactive workshops, exhibitions, and multicultural programming, the festival will inspire creativity, foster inclusivity, and strengthen community connections.
Artisan Mall:
Location: Main arena floor.
Description: Featuring vendors from across the region, offering a variety of fibre[1]related items such as handspun yarns, knitted and crocheted goods, quilting supplies, weaving tools, and more. This is a fantastic opportunity for attendees to purchase unique, high-quality handcrafted products.
Demonstrations:
Description: Visitors are treated to many demonstrations and DIY stations
Volunteers from local crafts guilds, clubs and living history groups share their skills covering techniques from rug hooking, sewing, spinning and more.
Quilt Exhibit:
Location: Walking track on the second floor.
Description: A curated showcase of quilts crafted by local artisans, celebrating both traditional and modern designs.
Workshops:
Location: Various spaces within the Clarenville Events Centre and areas in the region
Description: Workshops for all skill levels, including Beginner-level sessions in knitting, crocheting, quilting, and weaving. Advanced techniques for seasoned fibre artists. Specialized workshops on topics like eco-dyeing, felting, and pattern design. Renowned instructors and local experts will provide hands-on guidance.
